We are now starting our new line of organic Amish made moses basket rocking stands. We are excited to offer something unique and beautifully made here in the USA. To me, American made products are very important since many of the products imported from overseas are sprayed in transit. There is no guarantee that products from other countries are organic. Even our wood comes from a renewable forest in the US. That is why we decided to start out line and have it made exclusively here in the U.S.

Our new organic Amish moses baskets arrived today!

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

Our new Amish organic moses basket just came in the mail today - straight from Amish country and it is beautiful! Everything is organic - handmade here in the USA and woven/created by the Amish. We are so pleased with it and excited to offer it very shortly. Even the wood we sourced is grown right here in the USA and is from a renewable forest. The wood has never been sprayed or grown with any chemicals! We are very happy to also be supporting the Amish community. They are old order Amish that do not even use electricity and weave the baskets to support their families. Now when you purchase a basket, you know that there is no chance of it being sprayed when it comes into the country. You can also have your babies basket signed and dated and have their name written on it!! What a wonderful heirloom piece - I am so excited about it! I want to have a baby again!

Creating a Green Nursery and choosing the proper Crib Mattress

Sunday, April 5th, 2009

Before you start to create your baby’s nursery, with there are a few very important things to keep in mind. I will discuss them in greater length in future entries. This just gives you some basics to think about.

1. Healthy paint with low VOC’s
2. no rugs or healthy rugs only
3. an organic crib mattress - do not use a conventional crib mattress. Many of the ones with chemicals are already being taken off the market and removed from baby stores.
4. organic bedding - organic blankets, organic sheets
5. organic baby toys
6. Air purifier such as the Baby’s Breath Air Purifier
7. using only non-toxic healthy (chemical free) cleaners

Setting up an organic nursery for your baby

Saturday, October 25th, 2008

So many moms today are setting up an organic nursery for their baby.  Even moms in Hollywood (which includes many of my customers) are setting up beautiful nurseries in organic fabrics.
Purely natural and organic fabrics are the best choice for your baby.  Even after reading various studies and doing research, I have come to the conclusion that off gassing from chemicals in addition to vaccinations can harm children and possibly cause SIDS. I will write more on that in a future blog post.
We have created a line of Purely Natural Baby bedding which includes moses baskets in organic fabrics and coordinating crib ensembles and more.  We even custom create your own organic nursery for you!  Custom organic nurseries are just beautiful!

Fro more information , please contact us.

See our natural organic nursery section and our organic moses basket section for further information.

Having an Eco-friendly/healthy home for your baby

Sunday, August 5th, 2007

Many parents are concerned with what the nursery will look like, what design they will use, the paint, the furniture etc.., but the most critical thing for your baby is having a healthy home/nursery.  Of course moms want it to look nice also and be ready for the new bundle, but before spending a fortune in choosing the items, think about what will be the healthiest. You can still have a beautiful nursery, but a healthy one as well.

New rugs and paint are some of the worst items you can put in before the baby arrives unless you are choosing non-synthetic rugs as well as healthy paints.  Furniture should also be non-toxic and organic if possible.

Only healthy paints should be used on your furniture. Fabric should be organic in nature as much as possible.  The bedding as well as the baby clothing should all be the healthiest possible.

Bedding for your baby is one of the most critical of all decisions other than the food we provide for them.  They will spend countless hours sleeping in the beginning. Having an organic crib mattress (and organic futon for a moses basket) as well as organic blankets and sheets is very important.

They will be breathing this in and you want the air they breathe to be the healthiest possible for them.  There are also stuides out that I will write about that will discuss SIDS and the bedding we choose for our children.
